TeamFill, a rapidly growing and currently the only Lithuanian-created automated job interview platform, has caught the attention of EU funds. It has received €86,000 in funding for its further development and expansion. The year-long project aims to create an innovative IT product prototype with high growth potential based on TeamFill's platform technology.

Recruitment processes are often complex, requiring significant time and human resources. Moreover, business success depends on the speed and results of the selection process. The smart job interview platform TeamFill is a game-changing solution designed to shorten the candidate selection process and evaluation, revolutionizing companies' traditional hiring methods.

Solving Business Problems

TeamFill's main objectives are to simplify the manual selection process, allowing HR managers to focus on other functions such as new employee onboarding and performance management. Additionally, TeamFill acts as a centralized platform, managing multiple job openings and candidates simultaneously, thus increasing process efficiency and client satisfaction.

"The platform is already working well in process optimization, but we want to make it more interactive. For example, if a candidate doesn't provide examples of experience or situations during an automated video interview, their rating becomes lower. By improving the platform and making it more intuitive, AI could ask follow-up questions based on the candidate's response, request specific examples, making the interview more realistic.", says Antanas Giraitis, head of the recruitment agency AIDA Recruitment.

A more comprehensive self-presentation not only helps candidates perform well and increases their chances among applicants but also allows employers to evaluate potential employees better. According to Giraitis, businesses currently face a significant challenge – rapid employee turnover, which negatively impacts company processes and finances. Finding, training, and losing a specialist after a few months and then searching for a new one is a real challenge.

"We will be able to help companies identify candidates, their commitment, and motivation by incorporating additional tests into the platform to determine whether a candidate is loyal or prone to changing jobs. We'll also automate the evaluation process so that decisions about candidates are based not only on intuition or general impression after the interview but also on AI calculations and conclusions," adds Giraitis.

Drawing Inspiration from Tinder

The implementation of the TeamFill platform project is planned to last one year, until June 2025. However, the creators have even bigger ambitions. The ultimate vision for the project is to create an intelligent system that works like the dating app Tinder, where employees and employers can discover each other.

"If I'm a sales manager meeting certain specifications and looking for a job in New York, I can swipe through positions that algorithms select based on my profession and experience. At the same time, companies see which candidates are interested in their job posting and whether they match the position. When there's a mutual interest, the candidate can be automatically added to a job interview – it's like a match," Giraitis explains.

However, the biggest challenge the idea developers face is building a solid candidate database. Both businesses need a large pool of candidates, and candidates need job offers worldwide. Currently, the agency is expanding its geographical boundaries and looking for specialists and job offers in Ukraine, with plans to expand into Poland later.

"We receive job positions and look for candidates who applied through the TeamFill platform, so a client database is already accumulating in each country. We still have many unanswered technical questions, but I believe that sooner or later, such an app will be widely used worldwide. I invite everyone interested in this vision to share ideas and contribute to its refinement and implementation," says Giraitis.
