The First Study on Recruitment Process Automation in the Baltic States
Has the business world already embraced the benefits of artificial intelligence (AI) in automating recruitment processes? Or does it resist the very idea? We've initiated the first study, surveying over 100 technology companies in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia to reveal the trends in recruitment process automation across the Baltic States.
Our goal is to determine whether businesses leverage emerging technological opportunities and provide an overview of the current market situation. We're taking the pulse of the industry and will share relevant insights from the study.
Why did we conduct this study?
We are AIDA Projects, a company that develops several recruitment-related initiatives. Our agency, AIDA Recruitment, was the first in Lithuania to integrate modern technologies and AI into talent search and selection. Additionally, we've created an innovative interview platform, TeamFill, which simplifies candidate screening and reduces administrative burdens when searching for talents in Lithuania and internationally.
We decided to conduct an in-depth study to reveal the real situation in companies: whether they are already applying modern technologies in personnel selection and what their immediate plans and expectations are. We seek to understand if organizations see the potential of artificial intelligence and automation, are searching for more efficient solutions, and are ready to optimize their selection processes and set guidelines for the entire sector.

Why automate recruitment steps?
Traditional recruitment methods demand significant time and human resources, but technology opens up new opportunities to manage these processes more efficiently. Modern candidates are no longer bound by geography – you can search for and interview top specialists worldwide.
Moreover, today's candidates expect a faster and more streamlined recruitment process, and automation significantly shortens selection duration and improves the candidate experience.
What once seemed impossible is now a reality – automated solutions eliminate repetitive tasks and deliver better results with significantly fewer resources.
What do the study participants think about automating recruitment processes?
I understand that technology and artificial intelligence help improve certain processes, but we should leave room for the human factor perspective and live communication.
Not all candidates are happy with automation. Some say they miss human interaction.
Automation tools can be useful for finding the right candidate faster. For instance, by recording an interview, AI could generate a professional candidate profile.
